Big changes are still coming to Lake of the Ozarks—just on a new timeline. The $450 million Oasis at Lakeport project in Osage Beach has officially announced delays to its opening schedule, now targeting a Summer 2026 debut for the amusement park and parking garage, followed by the Marriott Resort and indoor waterpark in early 2027.
According to recent updates shared by the developers, the delays stem from the extensive effort required to acquire and demolish over 2,000 timeshare units on-site. While the setback may frustrate those eager to see construction completed sooner, the team behind Oasis at Lakeport emphasized the importance of launching with the entire property fully ready, safe, and operational.
Despite the shift in schedule, the scope of the project remains massive and exciting. Plans include:
A 402-room Marriott Resort and Conference Center
A 30,000-square-foot indoor waterpark
A full amusement park with family-focused attractions
A 200-slip public marina
And lakeview restaurants like Napoli Bros. Pizza & Pasta, a St. Louis favorite expanding into the area
Located off Highway 54 and Jeffries Road, near the Grand Glaize Bridge, Oasis at Lakeport is expected to become a cornerstone of tourism for years to come. When completed, it will offer Lake visitors a year-round destination—something the area has long needed to expand its appeal beyond the summer season.
For buyers and investors keeping an eye on long-term growth in Osage Beach and surrounding communities, this project—despite the delay—is still worth watching. It’s not just an amusement park; it’s a statement about where Lake of the Ozarks is headed.
