Recently, I had the rare opportunity to take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Bagnell Dam, one of the most iconic landmarks at Lake of the Ozarks. Thanks to Ameren Missouri’s team, we were able to document a once-in-a-lifetime event — the replacement of a massive hydroelectric turbine, something that typically only happens every 60 to 80 years.
This project represents a huge part of our community’s history and future, and I’m excited to share a glimpse inside the operations that help power our region.
From the powerful generators to the rich history behind the dam's construction, every moment captured during this tour showcases just how much innovation and dedication goes into keeping Lake of the Ozarks thriving.
